KIRYCHUK, Nickolas Mikolai
Nick was born in Turichany Ukraine on Sept 1, 1926. He emigrated to Canada in 1939 with his parents, three brothers and one sister where the family started a new life in Paddockwood, Sask. Nick grew up on the family farm and later had a farm of his own. After farming, Nick held a variety of occupations including mining, truck driving and working in the service sector. Nick retired to Kelowna where he lived until his passing on Nov 6, 2013. He is survived by his brothers, Donald (Phyllis McGowan), Helmer (Marlene Frey), Peter (Carole Darbellay) and sisters Olga Lazaruk and Mary McGowan along with numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Pauline, his brother William, and his brothers-in-law Bill Lazurak and Sarg McGowan. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:00 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1935 Barlee Road, Kelowna.
