CORMIER, J.A. YVON - J.A. Yvon Cormier, 86, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on July 23, 1927 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Irénée and Edmée (Arsenault) Cormier. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces and was self-employed as a painter prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeannette (DesRoches); two children: Pauline Cormier of Moncton and Yvon Jr. of Nanaimo, BC; one granddaughter, Nikita; two great-grandsons: Maximus and Xavier; one brother, Gérard (Françoise) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Michelle; three sisters: Gloria, Alfreda and Stella; one brother, Raymond. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont hospital for their wonderful care.
With respect to Yvon’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In memory of Yvon, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Palliative Care) would be appreciated.
