Léger, Amédée - Amédée Léger, 89, of O’Bon Soins, Shediac and formerly of Robichaud, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on Thursday, November 28th, 2013. Born on April 29th, 1924 in Barachois, he was the son of Fred and Edmée (Leblanc) Léger. Prior to his retirement, Amédée was a construction worker. He was a member of St-Henri R.C. Churchand Club d’Age d’Or in Barachois. He is survived by his four sisters: Diana LeBlanc (late Wilfred) of St-Anselme, Rita Newlands (late Jack) of Moncton, Angela Léger of Barachois and Alfreda Tremblay (Roland) of St. Roch, QC; four brothers: Henri (Emerise) of Shediac, René (Gisèle Lefrançois) of St-Antoine, QC, Fernand (Anne) of Ottawa, ON and Donald (Rose-Marie) of Moncton; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife, Yvonne (Landry) Léger (1967), second wife, Annette Frenette Léger (2005) and two brothers: Edouard (1997) and Clorice (2007).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shédiac (532-3297) on Monday, December 2nd, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri de Barachois R.C. Church, Barachois, on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. In memory of Amédée, a contribution to the Barachois cemetery would be appreciated.
