It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister , Elvira Marlena Witherall, 72, on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Elvira was born in Koln, Germany, she immigrated to Canada at the age of 23. She lived in Ontario for a number of years moving to Cape Breton in 1991. She loved cleaning and doing her housework and especially spending time with grandchildren.
Elvira is survived by her husband, Henry Witherall; her daughter, Tanya Witherall; three grandchildren, Kaiya Witherall, Mila and Pria Marks, also by her brother and three sisters in Germany.
No visitation by request. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
