MAILLET, IDA - December 30, 1918 – December 1, 2013 - After a brief illness, Ida Maillet passed away on December 1st, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital in her 95th year. She was born in St. Louis-De-Kent and was a daughter of the late Fred Vautour and Marie (Robichaud) Vautour. She was predeceased by her husband, Aurele, three infant sons and one infant daughter as well as one grandson and one great granddaughter. She was one of thirteen children, and is survived by four daughters; Gisele (Bob) Riley, Celine (Bob) Lewis, Claudette Jacquard, Brenda (Urban) Carr as well as, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren, one sister Simone, and many nieces and nephews. Ida was employed at the Belgrano Lodge on Manawagonish Road and many years at Rocmaura nursing home in Dietary Service until her retirement at 67 years of age.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street (634-1965) on Tuesday, December 3rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at 12:10pm followed by interment in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
