Lloyd passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, in The Admiral, Long Term Care Centre, Dartmouth.
Born in New Waterford, a son of the late Daisy and Azariah Jewer.
He served 20 years in the Royal Canadian Navy. He then worked at HMC Dockyard, Halifax and Vancouver Shipyards, B.C. His passions were road trips with his beloved Margaret from Scotland, country music, guitar playing, and he was a talented woodworker.
He will be missed by his son, John, Vancouver, B.C.; daughters, Linda (Keith) Snair, Windsor Junction, Anita, Lower Sackville, Sharon, Bridgewater; and dear friend, Floyd Seymour, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Paula, Katie, Jennifer, Blake, Alexandra, Andrew, Emily; brother, Bernie; sisters, Shirley, Barbara, Beryl, all of Vancouver, and Pauline of Glace Bay.
He was predeceased by brother, Howard (Vancouver); and sister, Betty (Calgary, Alta.).
Cremation has taken place in Dartmouth Funeral Home. No service will be held. A family burial will take place at a later date.
