LEGER, MARIA - Maria Leger, 80, of Butte à Éloi, Cap-Pelé and formerly of Etobicoke, ON, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on August 30, 1933 in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Aimé and Edmée (Landry) Bourque. She is survived by her two children: Kathy Thorne (Don) of Aurora, ON and Michel of Ontario; four sisters: Lorainne Ouellette (Henri) and Annette LeBlanc (Alphège) all of Petit-Cap, Marie-Jeanne Gallant (Alphonse) and Geneva Leger (Alonzo) all of Cap-Pelé; four brothers: Emile Bourque (Trudy), Jean Bourque (Elsie), Romeo Bourque (Pauline) and Mauril Bourque (Lynn) all of Cap-Pelé; four grandchildren: Michael, Donald, Jackie and Katie; one great-granddaughter, Abbie; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Saturday, December 7th, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure (10:20 a.m.) The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church in Cap-Pelé on Saturday, December 7th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. In memory of Maria, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
