Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Nov. 29, 2013, Mrs. Jessie Eileen Hillier of St. Lunaire-Griquet, NL, in her 67th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her husband of 48 years John; sons Paul (Sonya), and Todd (Elaine); daughter Nadine (Michael); mother Julia Newman; brothers Ambrose and Neil; sister Patsy; seven grandchildren Samantha, Jonathon, Carly, Zachary, Lindsey, Benjamin, and Brooklyn; one great-grandchild Austin, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Benjamin Newman. Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in Griquet followed by the funeral service on Monday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
