Passed on: December 4th, 2013. It is with sad and heavy hearts that the family of Patrick James Bennett announce his passing on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at the age of 62, after a long and courageous battle of cancer. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Martha Bennett, father and mother in law John and Mary Penney, brothers: Tony, Vince and Stan, sister in law Brenda, brother in laws Johnny and David Penney and special aunt and uncle Christine and Jim McCue. Left with fond and loving memories are Marie his devoted wife of 43 years; his son Joe (Donna) and his cherished daughter Charlene and also his precious grandchildren: James, Haley, Lucas, Carissa, and Jadah whom he treasured dearly. Also, mourning his loss are his brothers: Tom (Rosemary), John (Bernice), Kevin (Anne), Robert (Phil), Don, Ambrose, Mike (Louise) sisters: Irene McNeil and Agnes (Art Ricketts), sister in law Isabel Bennett, Ann Marie Bennett, and Eileen Penney; Brother in laws: Eugene (Bonita), and Gabriel (Matilda). Patrick is also leaving to mourn numerous neices , nephews, and a large circle of friends. Especially his close nephews/Buddies Stan and Derwin, who's journeys together on bike and in truck will never be the same. Remains resting at Fahey's Funeral Home, Trepassey. Visitation on Friday December 6th, from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday December 7th, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Sunday December 8th at 11:30 a.m from Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey.
