MACKINNON
William Freeman MacKinnon of Kamloops passed away on December 11, 2013 at 87 years of age.
William is survived by nephews Donald Maguire of Peterborough, Ontario and Wilford (Carol) MacKinnon of Kamloops.
Predeceased by parents Donald and Donalda MacKinnon, sisters Glaydas and Marguerite and nephew Scott MacKinnon.
William was born on February 5, 1926 at Louisbourg, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He served in the army during World War II and was a Medical Assistant in a Toronto hospital for 30 years. He moved to Kamloops in 1996 - joined the Legion Branch 52 and spent many good times playing crib and going on outings with special friend and caregiver Walter Giesbrecht.
A Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52, with Allan Schrader officiating.
