Eric 'Wally' Polegato

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of my dearest friend, husband, Wally, and loving father, on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with his family by his side.
He was the son of Fred Polegato and Rosella (Murphy) Polegato.
He owned and operated Polegato Landscaping for 20 years until his retirement.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Ann (Dwyer) Polegato; his six children, Jimmy (Donna), Alberta, Debbie (Wally), Edmonton, Jean, Fort McMurry, Gerard (Martha), Glace Bay, Lynn and Marie (Dave), Dominion, as well as his 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Delores and Virginia, St.Catherine, Ont., and brothers, John, St. Catherine, Ont., Bruno, Marion Bridge; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Polegato, Louisdale, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Geno and Fred.
A very special thank you to Dr. Glen Worth for his special care of Wally, as well as the nurses and staff at Regional Hospital, 4C.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a family funeral service at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home,564 Alexandra St., Sydney at a later date.
