BAMFORD, L. MARIE - Mrs. L. Marie Bamford wife of the late Wilson Bamford of Doaktown, NB, passed away Saturday December 14, 2013 at Moncton City Hospital, at the age of 89. Born in Blissfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Clara (McDonald) Colford. She was retired from Canada Post and a member of St Thomas United Church Doaktown. She also was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Branch # 23 Doaktown and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23 Doaktown. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Richard Barnett) of Moncton, two sons, John (Linda) of Fredericton and Jeffrey (Karen) of Woodstock, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by two brothers Allan and Benedict Colford.
Mrs. L. Marie Bamford is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown, with visitation on Tuesday from 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 2:30 p.m. at St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown, with Reverend Patti Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in St. George’s United Cemetery, Blissfield, NB in the spring.
