Elizabeth Wassmer
Date de décès : 15 décembre 2013
Elizabeth passed away quietly on December 15, 2013 at the age of 94. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Wassmer, nephew Kirk Wassmer (Colleen), niece Karla Nogue (Marcel), great-nieces Emma, Anna, Gillian, Brielle and great-nephew, Ethan. She is predeceased by her Mother and Father, Catherine and Ernest, sisters Ann and Margaret, and brother Ernie. Elizabeth grew up on a farm near Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan and moved into the city of Moose Jaw at a young age with her siblings. She was always a farm girl at heart and often reminisced of the times spent growing up. Elizabeth was a homemaker for all of her life and her home was often filled with the smells of fresh baking and cooking, from jam jams to sauerkraut cabbage rolls which were a family favorite. Elizabeth also enjoyed gardening and would grow flowers from seed every spring. She especially loved African Violets and would have them throughout the year in her home. Elizabeth moved into Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw in the winter of 2003 and lived there until her passing. Elizabeth thoroughly enjoyed her time living at Pioneer Lodge, especially the excursions to go fishing, bowling or shopping. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Pioneer Lodge for their caring of Elizabeth. Memorial donations to Pioneers Lodge, 1000 Albert Street, Moose Jaw, S6H 2Y2, would be appreciated. In living memory of Elizabeth, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
