LOGGIE, GEORGE M. - 1922-2013 - Miramichi - George MacKay Loggie of the North Napan Road, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the age of 91.
Born in Center Napan, on March 28, 1922, he was the son of the late William and Lena (Edmunds) Loggie. He was a farmer, fisherman and carpenter by occupation and an adherent of the Wellington St. United Baptist Church. George was very actively involved in genealogy.
He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Costar, of Ottawa, Ont. And Jean Loggie, of Moncton; as well as nieces and nephews, Paul and Ronnie Steeves, Jean Geoghegan, Janet MacTaggert, David Costar. He was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Loggie and Helen Steeves; twin brothers, Robert and Warren Loggie.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, December 23, 2013, at 11 am, conducted by Pastor Dale Greer, assisted by Penny Postlethwaite. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy donations to any charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.
