It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather and brother, Timothy Vincent Fitzgerald, who passed away on Dec. 18, 2013 at Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Neil's Harbour.
Born in Neil's Harbour, he was a son of the late Daniel Vincent and Sadie Belle (Petrie) Fitzgerald. Timmy loved sport fishing, camping and wood working. Timmy enjoyed fishing and spent most of his life working as a lobster fishmen.
Survived by his son, Robert 'Bobby' (Brenda), New Haven, Dwayne (Andrea), Cole Harbour, Ricky, Alberta, Corinne Briand, Neil's Harbour and Greg (Kim) Whitty of Ingonish; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, John; sisters, Yvonne (Guy) MacKinnon, Helen Marie (Charlie) Ferguson as well as Cody, his dog, with whom he enjoyed spending time.
Timothy was predeceased by wife, Margaret (Budge) Fitzgerald; his baby sister, Lucy Elizabeth.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, Ingonish. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, New Haven. Rev. Carolyn Sharpe officiating. Interment at a later date.
