At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, December 21, 2013, of William David Hume, Charlottetown, age 89 years.
Dear father of James William Hume (Dawn), Saint John, N.B., and Cathy McPhail (Jay), Charlottetown. Lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren and by his one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine.
David was a veteran of the Second World War. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army and landed in France on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Award.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 10 a.m. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. By family request there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
