Passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 31st, 2013 at the age of 75. Jim of Oro-Medonte born March 6, 1938 in St. John's, NFLD, to late Arthur & Margaret Madden. Beloved husband and best friend of Bernadette 'Bernie' (nee Lake) for 50 years. Cherished father of Paul (Jennifer) of Washago, Rick (Jodi) of Oro-Medonte and Tony (Michelle) of Orillia. Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Riley and Jackson. Loving bother of Marie Hollaway of Cornerbrook, NFLD. Received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newfoundland, spending 22 years in Government and Corporate Finance and 30 years in Private Accounting. Following cremation the family will receive friends at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Sunday afternoon from 1 - 4 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N., Orillia on Monday afternoon, January 6, 2014 at 2 PM.
