COLLINS, MARGARET - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Margaret Ann Collins (nee Closs) on Thursday, January 2nd, 2014. Born April 30, 1941 in Renfrew, ON, Margo was an avid cook who spent many years in the food service industry. She was at her best while entertaining friends and family. Always ready with a warm hug, joke and a smile, Margo made everyone feel welcome and at home. Margo was predeceased by her parents Charles Closs and Mona Closs (nee Doyle), brothers Jack and Peter Closs, sisters Shirley Walt and Mona Wood all of Ontario. She is survived by her special friend Ben Driscoll of Ripples, daughter Kim Collins and Gary Tibbits, special daughter Angie Elliott (Al) of BC, son Tom Collins and Heather Stewart, granddaughters Shannon White (AB), Erika Betts (NB), Meredyth Miller (NB), Rebecca Collins (NB). Extended family Ben and Brenda Driscoll, Lesa Driscoll, Sandra Lee and Tim Peterson, Darrin Driscoll and Ashley MacLaggin and all of their children.
In accordance with Margo's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. However, family and close friends will celebrate her life at a later date. Famous in her own small town Margo has touched many lives and will be fondly remembered by all. www.hoggfunerals.ca
