It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad Gene Chura on January 7, 2014. He passed away peacefully at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital after a short battle with his health. He was born September 1, 1920 in Krydor, SK, and is survived by his daughter Debbie, son Len (Jeannette); grandson Jeff (Ellen) and great-grandchildren Callan and Eden; and granddaughter Jennifer and great-grandchildren Taylor and Chantal; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was predeceased by his loving wife Vi in 2006; daughter Sherry Dawn in 1946; and his siblings. He was a very compassionate, loving man and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Gene’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Monday January 13, 2014 at 10:30 am. Linda Owens will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Providence Place Healing Garden, 100 2nd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1B8. In living memory of Gene, a memorial planting will be made by W.J.
