The family of Robert Terrance 'Bobby' Savoy are saddened to announce his passing on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014.
Born April 17, 1956, Bobby was the son of the late Hugh and Vivian (King) Savoy.
Bobby was a quiet and gentle man, always willing to give of himself while never asking for anything in return. He loved to laugh.
Bobby is survived by his son, Kyle; daughters, Bonnie and Danielle; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara O’Gorman, Francene (Ivan) Marche, Charlene (Buddy) McDonald, Sandy (Paul) Ranni and Joanne; brothers, Billy (Vivian), Hugh (Dianne), John (Marie), Joe (Anne) and Charlie; sister-in-law, Sharon; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to acknowledge the love and care provided to Bobby by his special friend, Patti MacDonald.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jerry; brother-in-law, Glen; and sister-in-law, Donna.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Monday 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Tuesday 11 a. m., with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Interment in Eastmount Cemetery at a later date.
