Passed peacefully away at home Sunday, January 5, 2014, Bruce Lacey of Salisbury, NB, originally from Lewisporte, NL, at the age of 57, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Predeceaced by his father Gordon Lacey and father-in-law Reginald Peach. Leaving to mourn: his wife of 38 years, Winona (nee Peach); son Christopher (Carol); daughter Terri; and his grandchildren Charitie, Jaysen, Noriah, Gwen and Alana. Also left to mourn are his mother Elsie Lacey of Lewisporte; seven brothers, Ben (Marion), Roy (Jean), Harry (Marina), Brian (Joanne), Jim (Joan), Bill (Nancy), Gerald (Doreen); mother-in-law Barbara Peach; brothers-in-law Gregory (Sharon) and Garnett; sisters-in-law Beverly (Bill) and Jocelyn. Bruce will be missed by a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bruce was born in Lewisporte; he moved to Labrador City in 1976 where he worked with the Iron Ore Company of Canada until his retirement in 2003, he then relocated to Salisbury, NB. By personal request, there was no funeral or visitation. Donations maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
