Weir, Helen Paulette, 67, of Harmony, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Upper Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of Mildred (Canning) Stewart of Upper Musquodoboit and the late Douglas Hector Stewart. She retired at the Glengary Truro as a Night Auditor. She was an avid Gardner and a very loving and loyal person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Helen is survived by her loving husband Ross; step children, Tami (Ed) Milligan, Brooklyn, Hants Co., Kathy (Randy) Putnam, Lloydminster AB, Wendy (Russell) Boutilier, Stewart’s Hill, Elvin (Mary Joe) Weir, Blacklick, Ohio, Patti Weir, Truro; sister, Vicki (Jim) McCoul, Brookfield; brothers, Doug Stewart, Dean, Jeff Stewart, Middle Musquodoboit; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, special friend, Kathy Murphy, Little Dyke, . She was predeceased by a granddaughter. There will be no visitation or flowers by request. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, from where a committal service will be held 2pm Saturday, January 18, for family and close friends, with Rev.
