John Larry Woodcox born September 19th, 1948 passed away suddenly at age 65. He was predeceased by both his parents Ida and Harry, his brother’s Ron and Harry and his wife and soul mate Marianne Woodcox.
John was born in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, 1 of 8 siblings including Ron, Jean, Ligeia, Harry, Marlene, Gerald and Bev. He spent much of his early years living either in the Peace Region or in Manitoba. Later in life he resided in Kitimat up until April 2013 when he moved back to Dawson Creek and onto his daughter’s farm.
John leaves behind his four daughter’s Tammy Potratz (Darin Bolin), Tracy Lee (Rick Gebhart), Tina Madden (Andre), Terry Woodcox (Wade Murray) and his two sons Justin Abram (Christine)and Jody Abram (Laura Ollson).
John also leaves behind grandchildren Braydon, Brittany and Ben Potratz (Tammy), Cody and Mitchell Jones (Tracy), Ashton and Kayla Abram (Justin) and Sarah and Amy Abram (Jody).
A social gathering was held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Bergeron Funeral Services social room, Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Expressions of sympathy in memory of John, may be made by donation to the British Columbia Heart and Stroke Foundation 1480 – 7th Avenue, Prince George, British Columbia V2L 3P2.
