Gloria Lorraine Mitchell (nee Anten), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Gloria was predeceased by her son, Stephen, and brother, Daniel. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Joyce McMillan (Alistair), Vivian Anten and Susan Anten, her nephew, David Van Hout, her best friend, Dawn McKillop, her wide circle of friends in Ontario and in Nova Scotia and her wonderful neighbours.
Although diagnosed with an advanced state of cancer, her positive attitude and the skill of the team under Dr. Vishal Kukreti at Princess Margaret Hospital gave her seven more valuable years.
Our thanks to Dr. Kukreti and the palliative care staff at Toronto General Hospital who made her last days comfortable.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles Chapel Limited, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3 p.m.
