Lynds, Francis Arnold – Truro. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, on January 26, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in North River, Francis was the son of the late Herbert and Ethel (Hennigar) Lynds. Francis will be remembered for his love of hockey, especially the Montreal Canadiens. When he wasn’t watching hockey he had a passion for playing cards with friends and family and always enjoyed a good fiddle tune. His grandchildren were the love of his life. He is survived by his son, Pierre, Londonderry; daughters, Petra (Kenny) MacDonald, Truro and Pamela (Brian) Barton, Enfield; grandchildren, Cody, Brett, Sarah, Samantha; and great-grandson, Kyle. Francis had two sisters, Shirley Ettinger, Truro, Estelle (Guy), North River; brothers, Allen, North River, Milton, Upper Stewiacke, Gerald, Amherst, Emery (Eldora), East Mountain and Vernon, Florida. There will be no service at the family’s request. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Cremation has taken place.
