Aldéa Savoie
SAVOIE, ALDÉA - 1924 - 2014 - Aldéa Savoie, 89, of the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Manoir, on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. She was married for 67 years to Alderic Savoie of Sainte-Maurice. Born in Saint-Maurice, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and the late Anne (LeBlanc) Savoie. Aldéa was a volunteer at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste for 17 years. She will be sadly missed by her four children; Denise McDonald (Yvon), Jean (Stella) both of Bouctouche, Elmo (Claudette) of Saint-Antoine and Guy (Lorraine) of Bouctouche Bay, her five grandchildren; Jean-Maurice, Shaun, Jason, Martin and Véronique, her three great grandsons; Jocelyn, Félix and Lucas and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Aldéa was predeceased by a sister, Germaine, and four brothers; Léonard , Léandre. Lionel and Jaddus.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'Église, in Bouctouche,on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 and on Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held in the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Aldéa’s memory donations can be made to the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Bouctouche.
