It is with great sadness that the family of the late CYRIL P. MEWS of Fortune announces his passing at his home in Fortune, on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at the age of 53. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Parents - Peter & Hersey Mews of Fortune; Daughter - Shelley (Rick) Stidston of Vancouver, B.C.; Sisters - Adylis (Warren) Reid and Bonnie (Gary) MacDonald; Brothers - Gary (Joan), Dennis (Cathy), Kevin (Elaine), Deon (Roberta), Elvis (Lisa) and Corey (Sandra); Grandchildren - Alexis & Cole; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by: Common Law Spouse - Joan Hodder; Sister - Pearl Lee and Brother - Leonard.

The Funeral Service took place on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., from The Salvation Army Citadel in Lewisporte. Interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery in Embree. In Cyril’s memory donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
