Passed away at the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care surrounded by his loving family on Sunday February 2, 2014. Dallas Garden of Peterborough, formerly of Calgary, Alberta and Digby, Nova Scotia at the age of 36. Proud to be part of the brotherhood and sisterhood of Canada Post for the past nine years. Devoted husband and best friend of Sara (Adams) and proud and loving father of little Kolton. Cherished son of Bill Garden and Rose Button (Mel) all of Digby, Nova Scotia and ‘little brother’ of Jay Garden (Kim) and Sheila Garden. Also loved and remembered by his nephews Trenton and Lincoln, niece Kella, step-siblings Jason and Trudy Button, Cameron Matheson and mother-in-law Irene Adams. Predeceased by his grandparents Marion and George Foote and Bill and Viola Garden. Relatives and friends are invited to call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Sunday February 9, 2014 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM. As per Dallas’ wishes, at 7:00 PM on Sunday February 9, 2014 an Irish wake will be held at the Junction, 253 George Street North, Peterborough, to celebrate love, life, family and friends. A funeral service will be held at The Selwyn Outreach Centre, 2686 Lakefield Road, Peterborough on Monday February 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “Sara Garden” (to be placed in Kolton’s RESP). The family would also like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care (especially nurse Judy K. and nurse Wendy “Winky”) for their care and compassion.
