NICKERSON, STIRLING - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Stirling Lloyd Nickerson, age 73, husband of Marilyn (Hoyt) Nickerson of Queenstown, NB, on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was born in Saint John on December 5, 1940, the son of the late Lloyd and Ethel (Lyon) Nickerson. He is survived by his wife Marilyn; son Terry and Kristie of Regina, SK; daughters Shelley Nickerson and Wendy Peters both of Lincoln; grandchildren Kara Allen, Cody Peters, Rylan Nickerson; brothers Gerald and Jean Nickerson of Queenstown and Gregory Nickerson of Fredericton; sister Joan and Frank Henderson of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers David and Allan and sister Mary.
Arrangements entrusted to Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, E5T 1Z2, with visiting on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Queenstown United Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Interment will take place later in the Central Hampstead Cemetery. Donations in Stirling’s memory may be made to the Jemseg Lions Club for “The Imagination Library” or the memorial of the donor’s choice.
