The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Sunday, February 9, 2014, of Irene Mary Arsenault (nee Gallant) of Summerside, aged 86 years. Irene was born on February 3, 1928, in Summerside to her late parents Emanuel and Gertrude Gallant. Beloved wife of the late Celestin Arsenault and loving mother of Robert (Brenda) of Summerside, Dale MacLeod (Burnell) of Summerside, Danny (Joan) of Miscouche, Ricky (Darlene) of Summerside and Linus (Connie) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 5 grandchildren Jessica, Chance, Cody, Ryan and Michelle, her 3 great-grandchildren Dalton, Chasity and Landon, her sister-in-law Lorraine Gallant of Summerside and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Irene was predeceased by her son Michael, her granddaughter Crystal MacLeod, her brother Clarence Gallant and sisters Tina Stanley (Russell), Marguerite Richard (Fred), Zita MacKinnon (Howard) and Rita Arsenault (Edmond).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Thursday, Feb. 13, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
