HOOPER, PAUL R. - Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 15th, 2014; Paul Ralph Hooper, husband of Suella (McCullough) Hooper of Upper Mills, NB. Born in Back Bay, NB he is the son of the late Ralph W. and Ellen (Lee) Hooper. For many years Paul worked for himself in the fishing industry in an around the St. Andrews area, fishing salmon. He and his wife Suella enjoyed living in the Chamcook area raising their children. Surviving in addition to his wife Suella are his two daughters Allecia True of Oromocto, NB, Natalie Sode of St. Stephen, NB, seven grandchildren Lance Hooper, Julie Somerville, Christopher True, Jennifer Richardson, Erica True, Matthew Sode, and Tracy Sode, five great grandchildren Madisyn True, Charles and Jacob True, Cole Hooper and Owen Somerville, a brother Leonard of Back Bay, two sisters Norma Haughn (Calvert) of Chamcook, NB, Jeannie Smith of Chamcook, NB. Paul was predeceased by his son Bradley in 1994.
Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506-466-3110) from where the service was held in the chapel on Thursday, February 20th, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Jody MacBeth officiated. A reception immediately followed in the Humphreys Community Room and Reception Centre. The interment will take place later in the spring at St. Andrews Rural Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home during a time of visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
