
Ruth Lillian Reid
It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of the late Ruth Reid announce her passing with her daughters by her side at her residence in Codroy on Saturday February 15, 2014 in her 74th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her two daughters: Kim Dowding, Corner Brook, Carolyn Aucoin (Darrin), Tompkins and her two grandchildren: Rebecca and Brady, whom she was very proud of. She was treasured dearly by her nieces Michelle Martin (Carl), Upper Ferry and Lisa MacArthur, Halifax, NS. Ruth will also be sadly missed by her sister Margaret Reynolds, New Hampshire, brothers: Winston Kendell, Port aux Basques, Lawrence Kendell, Woodville, sisters-in-law: Mildred Parsons, Jefferys, Peggy Reid, Millville, Addie Fiander and Marion (Ralph) Fiander, all of Woodville, brothers- in-law: Cecil (Joann) Reid, Smithers, BC, Hubert (Donna) Reid, Misissauga, ON, Freeman Reid, Codroy and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She will also be dearly missed by close friends: Doretta and Albert Samms of Codroy. She is predeceased by her husband Henry Reid, parents, Frank and Ada Kendell (Penny), brothers: Bobby, Lewis, sister Joyce, brothers-in-law: Tom Reid, Ray Reynolds and Neil MacArthur, father and mother-in-law Clement and Annie Reid (Janes), sisters-in-law Winnifred Hickey (Reid), Audrey Reid and Thelma Shaughnessy (Reid). The family received friends at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy on Tuesday February 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Ruth's life took place on Wednesday, February 19, 3:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Steven Maki. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. Flowers or donations to a charity of one's choice will be graciously accepted.
