Helen Selina  Ward

The death of Helen Selina Ward, 80, of Sackville, occurred peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on the morning of February 13, 2014.
Born in Galt, ON, Helen was the daughter of the late Ernest and Queenie (Spurgeon) Jackson and the widow of the late Donald Ward.
Helen was an active member of the Middle Sackville Baptist Church. With her church, she traveled to Bolivia twice on mission trips. She enjoyed volunteering in her community including helping others with their income tax, and assisting at the local food bank. She was very social and enjoyed her daily breakfasts at Mel's with her friends.
Helen will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind her daughter Sandy (Neddie Sears) Cobb, of Midgic; four granddaughters, Pam and Gwen (Jason) Banton, both of Ontario and Crystal (Paul Watts) Cobb, of Charlottetown and Valene (Adam Haynes) Sears of Northport, NS; one great granddaughter, Adriauna; two sisters, Reta Drowns and Grace Harrison, both of Cambridge, ON, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Don in 2000.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service for Helen will take place from the funeral home at 2 pm on Sunday, February 16. Reverend Vernon Vickruck officiating.
Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association.
