Date de décès : 20 février 2014
Muriel Luella Wutke of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on February 20, 2014 at the age of 84 years. Muriel was born in Moose Jaw on March 18, 1929 to Janet and Jorgen Gusaas. She grew up on the family farm at Eastleigh and attended Eastleigh school. In 1947 at the young age of 18, Muriel moved to Moose Jaw and began working at Eaton’s Department store. She continued working at Eaton’s until the store closed in 1986. Muriel met Hardy Wutke in 1947. They dated for 3 years and were married on June 3, 1950. Together they raised four beautiful children. Family meant a lot to Muriel as she was very involved in her kids’ activities. She kept very active herself in sport and activity. Muriel enjoyed gardening and being in the outdoors. There were many Father’s Day family picnics held at Besant Park for the Forsythe and Gusaas families. Whether it was simply holding her grandchildren, playing in the mud with them or picking raspberries, she truly enjoyed being with them. Muriel had many friends and was the social butterfly of the family. Many lifelong friendships were formed within the neighborhood that she lived in for most of her married life. She had time for everyone and would give you the shirt off her back. Muriel was predeceased by her parents Janet and Jorgen Gusaas; sister Myrtle in infancy, brother Alvin Gusaas, son-in-law Karl Joyal, brothers-in-law Frank Holeksa, Nick Polowski, John Schwartz, sister-in-law Lillian Schwartz and great-grandchild Kylie Joyal-Chrystall.
