BRIGGS, JEAN EDITH - Jean Edith Briggs passed away suddenly at her home in Chipman, on Friday, February 28th, 2014 at 71. Jean was born in Chipman, on May 16th, 1943, daughter of the late Harry (Verna Leckey) Stilwell. She is survived by her loving daughters, Bonnie Campbell of Minto, NB and Brigitte Ann (Steven) Johnston of Fredericton, NB; brother, Byron Stilwell of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Ryan (Jen) Campbell, Graham (Alicia) Campbell and Aaron Campbell; great-granddaughters, Ava and Lilly; step-grandchildren, Ryan and Rory Johnston. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Briggs in 2006; son, Corey Briggs in 1984; Sisters, Deanna Smith and Ida Harding; brothers; Bob and Paul.
Funeral service will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home Memorial Chapel (339-6612) on Thursday, March 6th, 2014 at 4:00 pm with Rev. David Egers officiating. Family will receive comfort prior to the service from 2 to 4 pm. Interment will be in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery at a later date. www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca.
