BROWN, John Winslow, 83, Jordan Branch, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2014 in Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point. Born in Jordan Falls he was a son of the late John and Angeline Brown. Years ago he was employed at the John MacKay shipyard and night watchman. He was an outdoorsman, enjoyed playing in his woodpile and working with his oxen. He is survived by sons, Bill (Mona), Jordan Falls; John (Helena), Glenwood; Fergie, Windsor; Wendell, Toronto; and his friend Georgie; several grandchildren, great grand-children as well as nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his dog, Champ. He was predeceased by brother, Harry; sisters, Myrtle, Mabel and Margaret. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne where the service will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 2 pm with Rev. Ed Trevors officiating. Interment at a later date. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Roseway Hospital Foundation Fund or charity of choice. A reception will follow the service.
