Marlene Diane Doane - 63, of Waterville, Kings County, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late George and Beulah (Buckler) Doane. She enjoyed going for drives, picnics and spending time at home where she looked forward to home-cooked meals. She always loved the special times with her Auntie Anne and always kept her niece, Shelby and 'nephew', Nick in her thoughts. She is survived by a sister, Lynn; a brother, Kevin; aunts and cousins; her extended family at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Brian. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the dedicated staff at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre as well as Dr. Martin Fleckenstein for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Reverend Doctor John McNally officiating.
