ROBERT CAMILLE STEVENIN
1922- 2014
Robert Camille Stevenin left us peacefully March 12, 2014 at his home at the Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon. Bob was 91 years of age.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of nearly 66 years, Jean Stevenin; one daughter Joanne Mortenson; two grand-daughters Stacey Mortenson (Brad); Lindsey LeNabat (Christian); three great grand-children Vance Cobler, Quinn Smith and Blake LeNabat.
Bob was born and raised and went to school at Crestwynd, Saskatchewan. In his early years Bob joined the Navy and when his tour was finished came home to marry his sweetheart Jean. Bob and Jean built a house in Moose Jaw and made it their loving home for over 50 years. During those years Dad worked hard at both farming and in his business, Bob’s Barber Shop.
Bob and Jean were members of St Andrews Church, the Elks Club and square danced for over 50 years with the Buttons and Bows Club. When Bob retired he took up golf for the first time and bought a new golf cart so he and Jean could travel around the province with their friends enjoying many different courses. He loved to socialize and was always a happy guy.
Dad loved his family very much and thought the world of his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was our biggest cheerleader, our biggest fan and always made us feel like we could do anything. He never stopped telling us how proud he was of all of us. We will miss him very much.
A service will be held in the chapel at Sherbrooke Community Centre (401 Acadia Dr, Saskatoon, SK) on Monday March 17th at 2:30.
Memorial donations can be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society. Condolences may be sent to mail@saskatoonfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements have been entrusted to SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME (244-5577).
