Clement Jackman
Passed peacefully away at his residence in St. John's after a short illness. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy, sons Bob and Paul, son in law John Stobie, daughter in law Moya Mason, brothers and sisters John, Frank, Gerald, Helen and Theresa. Joyously and lovingly remembered by his children David, Brian, Gerry and Anne, sisters Anne and Loretta, daughters in law Rhonda, Cathy, Patsy and Peggy as well as eleven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and close friends. He was a World War II veteran who was wounded in action. After his retirement from the federal firefighting service he delivered meals on wheels for 30 years. He was a lover of nature, an avid trouter and berry picker who shared the bounty of his efforts with others. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Basilica, time to be announced. Internment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, donations may be made to Emmaus House.
