The death occurred suddenly at his late residence, on Friday, March 14, 2014, of Albert Joseph Gallant, Alaska, aged 75, husband of Pauline (nee Gallant). Born in Alaska on September 28, 1938, son of the late Dosithee and Lucy Anne (nee Arsenault) Gallant. Dear father to Mike (Linda) Gallant, Miscouche: Noralee (Darrin) Gallant, Duvar: daughter-in-law Rennie Gallant, Bloomfield, and special family friend, Mel Smallman, Ontario. Loving Pepe to Marlana (Jimmy) Oliver, Danielle Gallant, Alex and Matthew Powell, Breeanna Gallant and great-Pepe to Tye Oliver, and Maya. Albert is also survived by mother-in-law Marcia Gaudet, Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary; sister Sadie (Ernie) Arsenault, Wellington; brother-in-law Aubin Peters, Summerside; Louie Perry, Wellington; Marlene (Everett) McCormick, St. Lawrence; Terry (Laura) Gallant, Bloomfield; Betty (Roy) Ellsworth, St. Lawrence; as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and a large racing family. Predeceased by his parents, grandson Kevin Gallant (2013), brother Leo Gallant, sisters Mary Perry and Rita Peters, father-in-law John P. Gallant and stepfather-in-law Louis Gaudet. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday, March 18, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and until 10 a.m Wednesday. Funeral mass Wednesday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m at the Brae Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at a later date in the Parish Cemetery, Brae. Family flowers only please.
