Charles “Chuck” Hall Merlin, age 67, of Amherst and formerly of Springhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Springhill. He was a son of Ruth G. (Brown) Merlin and the late Carl P. Merlin. 



From a young age Chuck had a passion for singing and performing his music and showed great potential for musical success. He was very well known adored by those who attended his shows throughout the Maritime Provinces. Chuck enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing sports and going to parties with friends. He will be remembered for being a kind and gentle person who was very personable and friendly. 



Chuck will deeply missed by his mother, Ruth Merlin; children, Jason (Laurie) Merlin (their children, Ethan and Chase), Julien Merlin, Eyzlyn Merlin; brothers, Peter (Dolly)Merlin and Paul (Gloria) Merlin; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Carl Merlin in 1997.



Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (597-2361). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2 pm from the funeral home, Rev Wayne McCarther officiating.
