The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday, March 20, 2014, of Wendell Axworthy, of Winsloe, age 53.
Wendell was the beloved son of Lois Axworthy (nee Daye) and the late Donald Axworthy (2013); father of Jennifer Doughty (Cory) and Howard (Chrissy); and grandfather of Kailyn MacDonald and Ada-Joy and Kori-Lynn Doughty; and Savannah, Colton and Aria Axworthy. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Weston (Carol), Harold (Helen Campbell), Mary Doucette and Gordon (Irma); and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Wendell was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Mark Doucette; and his sister-in-law, Linda Axworthy.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral will be held at Central Queen's Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. Interment in Portage Cemetery, Brackley Beach.
