­Ronald “Ron” Thompson of Duchess Ave., Trenton, passed on the evening of March 19, 2014 at home. Ron was 63 years old.
Ron was the son of the late George E. and Alfretta May (Brown) Thompson.
Ron worked for Trenton Works for a number of years as well as serving our country in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29, Trenton.
He will be greatly missed by partner Marjorie Wright as well as his daughter Rhonda (Jason Munro), Little Egypt Road; his sisters Shirley Rawlins, ON and Evelyn (Vernon), Hardwood Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Eileen Oakes, brothers Merle and Arthur and brothers-in-law Ernest (Sonny) Oakes and Arthur Rawlins.
There will be no visitation as per Ron’s request. His body has been donated to the Department of Medical Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. Cremation will take place at Dalhousie.
