It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Helen Ryan (nee Doyle) on Friday, March 21, 2014 after a very brave and courageous battle with cancer in her 55th year. Predeceased by her loving parents: Mary and Dennis Doyle. A loving wife and best friend of Gerald "Tom" Ryan and mother of Gerald (Jackie) Ryan, Patty (Heather) Ryan and Jennifer (Brent) Johnson; wonderful grandmother to three grandchildren who she cherished: Ashley, Jillian and Logan. Helen will be sadly missed by her brothers: Ray (Maureen), Leo (Cecilia), Gerald (Ollie), Pat (Bernadette), Dennis (Rhonda); her sisters: Mary (Ed) Whitten and Sis (Don) Earle. Also left to mourn are her brothers-in-law: Martin (Mary Lou), Randy (Bridie), Danny (Linda) and Michael (Kim); sisters-in-law Margie and Rose; as well numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; special nephews: Donny and Wayne Earle. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 10am-9pm. Cremation to follow the visitation. Funeral Mass to be held from Mary Queen of the World on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
