It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Valerie (Donovan) MacNeil, 57, of Bras d’Or. Surrounded by her family, Valerie passed peacefully Wednesday morning at the Northside General Hospital.
Valerie was the daughter of the late Tom and Babs (Butts) Donovan.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Brenda Lee Jack. Also left to mourn are her grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, friends, and the love of her life.
Her family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 4th and 5th floors at the Northside General, and the ICU Unit in Sydney.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, with Deacon Greg Murphy officiating.
