BABINEAU, EVA - Eva Babineau, 91, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on February 3, 1923 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Euphémie (Bourgeois) Babineau. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Co-op Atlantic. She is survived by a sister, Marie Babineau of Moncton; three nieces: Rita Chase (Jim) of Moncton, Peggy West (Ron) of Waltham, MA and Ann Amico (Louis) of Fitchburg, MA; Cietta Babineau (late David) of Moncton, Jean Babineau (Jim) of North Bay, ON; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters: Alma, Bertha and Anita; three brothers: Blair, Albert and Eloi.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Louis-de-France Roman Catholic Church, 5 Pleasant Street, Moncton on Friday April 4, 2014 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Eva, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation, masses, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Conrad Legresley of Shédiac for his excellent care over the years, the doctors and nurses of 3E and 4E units at the Dumont Hospital who were very kind and helpful to the family.
