With broken hearts, we regret to announce the passing of our brother, Gordon, Sunday April 6, 2014 at the Regional Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, April 23, 1946, he was the son of the late Gordon and Susan (Hyde) Scott.
He is survived by brothers Reggie, Gary (Debbie), Dave (Michele); sister Mary (Vince) Wrathall; and by nephews Troy and Craig (Denise) Scott and nieces Emma and Jasmine Wrathall; uncle Reg, several cousins and many good friends.
Besides his parents Skip was predeceased by his brother George.
He worked as a labourer for many years and later in life enjoyed working on small engines.
In keeping with Skip’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. A private family service will be held on Thursday April 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Donald MacDonald officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
Family flowers only, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetic Society.
