With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Daphne Ford (nee Coles) of Port Blandford on April 7, 2014, age 70. Predeceased by her husband Gordon, parents Adam and Mary Coles, parents-in-law Charles and Enid Ford, and brother Clayton Oldford. Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memories, her daughter Yvonne McCarthy (Kevin), granddaughters Melissa Antoun (Neal Noseworthy) and Nicole McCarthy, great-grandson Jaxson Noseworthy, step-grandson Bradley McCarthy, sisters Annie Rose, Agnes Martin and Betty Squires (Hedley), brothers Clyde Coles (Mabel), Joseph Coles (Loretta) and Nelson Coles, sisters-in-law Ada Murphy (Tom), Iris Ford, and Marie Peddle (Ray) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville, with visitations on Wednesday, April 9th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, April 10th at 2 p.m. from Alton United Church, Port Blandford. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in her memory may be made to the Alton United Church Cemetery Fund. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the L. A. Miller Centre for their outstanding care during her last weeks.
