Passed peacefully away at home surrounded by his loving family on April 10, 2014, Garfield (Garf) Pitcher aged 65 years, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents Elsie & Silas Pitcher, parents-in-law Jane and John Gambin, sister-in-law Veneta Pitcher, Vicki Pitcher, Madeline Gambin and brother-in-law John Ryan. Left with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend, Bertha of 44 years; daughters, Dawn (Steve) and Kelly (George); sons, Gary (Lori) and Glenn (Tammy and Kiana); grandchildren, Kelsey, MiKayla, Lucas, Colby, Gavin and Ava; great grand child, Claire; sisters, Ina Welsh (George), Nita Par (Steve), Linda Paine (Brian), Barbara Murphy (Johnny) and Bonnie Temple (Barry); brothers, Gerald, Clyde (Gen), Vern (Marg), Boyd (Helen), Melvin (Geraldine) and Darin (Becky); sister-in-law, Winnie Ryan; brothers-in-law, Patrick Gambin (Marina) and Kyran Gambin; a large circle of family and friends along with special friend Spencer Hancock. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home in Placentia, Friday, April 11 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday, April 12 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sunday, April 13 at 11am. Flowers greatly accepted or a donation in Garf`s memory can be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation. Funeral Service to take place at St Anne`s Church in Dunville on Sunday, April 13 at 2pm.
