Passed peacefully away after a brief illness on April 11, 2014, Elizabeth (Betty) Careen, of St. Bride's, age 77 years. Betty is predeceased by her son Ricky (1981). She leaves to mourn her husband of 57 years, Richard. Also left with fond and loving memories are her children Bill (Helen), Sara, Joe (Jackie), Keith, Wanda (Darren), Trudy, Larry, Glen (Edith), and Peter. Cherished by her 21 grandchildren Janice, Ricky, Jake, Michael, Lauren, Carrie, Pat, Ashley, Sam, Kaylah, Nick, Amy, Katie, Bailey, Morgan, Jenna, Larry, Letticia, Brianna, Zach, and Ally; 6 great grandchildren and her loving family and friends of Jean de Baie, whom she treasured dearly. Also mourning her loss are 8 brothers and sisters and their families, as well as 11 brothers and sisters-in-law and their families. Special thanks to the staff at Placentia and St. Clare's Hospitals for their care and kindness during Mom's illness. Resting at Sacred Heart Church, St. Brides at a time to be given later. Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, St. Bride's at a time to be given later. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Bride's.
